Exciting news - in addition to my online shop, scarves with my designs can now be purchased at a retail store at Garden In The Woods in Framingham, MA - about 30 minutes away from Boston.
Garden In The Woods is a unique botanical garden that belongs to Native Plant Trust, formerly known as New England Wildflower Society - a non-profit organization promoting planting botanicals native to New England. Native plants are better for the environment in many ways, from supporting native pollinators to thriving in our climate conditions, and so much more! Native Plant Trust offers walks and tours at Garden In The Woods, education programs and plant conservation internships, grows native plants from seed at their nursery in Western Massachusetts and has a native plant nursery as well as a wonderful gift shop with New England artists' and local vendors' merchandise for sale. All sales support native plants conservation and research.
As a devoted flower gardener myself who is learning about natives and working on introducing more of them to my garden, I am very honored to offer products with my designs at the shop. The Retail Manager Noni Macon has carefully selected 6 of my designs with a matching vibe (hopefully, it wasn't too hard as lots of designs in my portfolio are genuinely inspired by New England nature) in 2 styles: 26" square and 16" x 72" long scarf. Noni even requested Nocturnal Bugs design to be reworked into a custom long scarf in addition to the square one - it can now be purchased exclusively at Garden In The Woods, although I am planning to add it to my website soon as well!
From the 5 kinds of genuine and faux silk kinds that my scarves can be purchased in, Noni has chosen a rustic and soft silk modal blend that is very durable yet delicate to the touch.
The Garden is closed for the season until mid-April, however, the store is open 3 days a week during November and December for holiday shopping and offers a wide array of unique locally & globally sourced gifts by artists and artisans, books, gardening tools, textiles, ceramics and stationery. You can find the shop hours and directions on Native Plant Trust website, as well as membership information - members get 20% off during the holiday months and non-members get 15% off. During the regular months of April through October membership discount on shop merchandise is 10% and there is no discount for non-members - so take advantage of this very special offer while it lasts! Come skip the crowds and get unique gifts for everyone on your list.
Missed the holiday season? Don't you worry, my scarves will still be available at the shop during the regular garden season mid-April through mid-October. And you can always shop online - all scarves are made to order in Canada in 2 sizes and 5 kinds of silk.
Please be aware that if you are purchasing online for the holiday season, it is best to order no later than the first week of December for guaranteed Christmas delivery (large orders may take longer).
