The story

Inspired by aromatic plants and classical botanical illustration, wall charts and the Old World books on botany from traveling botanical art masters. The border features a quote by the father of American literature, a Boston native, Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Flowers and fruits are always fit presents; flowers, because they are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world.”

Hand-painted in watercolor and complemented by an elegant script font with Latin binomial nomenclature names of the plants, e.g. Lavandula angustifolia - the English lavender.
